All surgeries are booked by appointment and appointments can be made during opening hours by ringing or visiting the surgery. You can also book online if you are registered for internet access.
We encourage patients to book in advance as this means they are more likely to be able to book with the doctor of their choice. Some apointments are available to be booked up to 6 weeks in advance. We also have a number of appointments that are bookable on the same day for patients who need to see the GP urgently.
Where possible we will book you an appointment with your preferred doctor but this will not always possible. If you insist on seeing your preferred doctor this may mean a delay for your appointment.
The practice also has daily appointments available (Monday to Friday) for children under 5 years.
Patients have a right to an appointment even if they have not been seen within the last 3 years, however if they are over 75 years old then the timescale is 12 months.
Emergency/On The Day Appointments
Emergency appointments are available every day. These are for patients with an urgent problem that cannot wait for a routine appointment. Patients who require an emergency appointment must see ANY available GP or ANP. We can only offer a limited amount of appointments each day.
Emergency/On The Day appointments are available to book from 8.00am Monday to Friday
The practice offers early morning appointments on various days throughout the week. Please contact the surgery if you wish to book one of these appointments.
Patients needing advice over the telephone from the doctors or nurses can contact the surgery and leave a contact number for us to get back to you. All messages will be passed to the clinicians and they will return your call the same day if necessary. If however, calls are received once the afternoon surgery has started then it may the following day when your call is returned. Please be aware that if you have anonymous call barring we will be unable to contact you.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. The Nurse Practitioner is qualified to deal with many conditions, is able to prescribe and refer and you may be seen more quickly.
Interpreters are available but must be pre-booked so please let reception know when you book your appointment.
You are welcome to have a chaperone for all intimiate examinations. Please ask at reception and one will be arranged for you.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
