Awareness Month

April 2026

Awareness days and months highlight different health conditions and wellbeing topics throughout the year. They help raise understanding and share useful, trusted information.

These campaigns are a helpful way to stay informed and take small steps to look after your health.

We’ll be sharing key awareness dates and information throughout the year to support you and your family. If you have any concerns, please contact the practice.

Stress Awareness

April 2026 marks National Stress Awareness Month, an annual campaign since 1992 designed to increase awareness of the causes and cures of modern stress.

Bowel Cancer Awareness

Bowel Cancer Awareness Month takes place every April. It aims to highlight the disease's symptoms, promote early detection through screening programs, and encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Raising awareness is critical, as early diagnosis can boost survival rates up to 9 in 10.

Testicular Cancer Awareness

April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, dedicated to highlighting the most common cancer in men aged 15–49. The campaign emphasizes early detection, encouraging regular self-checks to identify signs like lumps or swelling, which makes it highly treatable. The month focuses on education, support for patients, and reducing stigma.
